What we collect
We only collect information when you choose to give it to us:
- Email address — when you sign up as a member or for updates.
- Account details — if you sign in with Google, Facebook, or email and password, we receive your name and email address from that sign-in provider.
- Evidence submissions — anything you enter when submitting evidence, such as an optional name, a topic, a link, a message, and any images you upload. A name is optional; submissions can be anonymous.
- Sharing activity — if you share evidence while signed in, we record the share so it can appear on the leaderboard (your display name and a share count).
We do not knowingly collect health records or other sensitive personal data, and we ask that you not include them in submissions.
How we use it
- To send the updates you signed up for.
- To let you sign in and keep your sharing connected to one account.
- To review and, where appropriate, publish evidence you submit.
- To show community activity on the leaderboard.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Services we rely on
A few trusted services help us run the site. They process data on our behalf:
- Firebase (Google) — handles account sign-in for Google, Facebook, and email/password.
- Email delivery provider — we manage our member list on our own infrastructure and use an email delivery service only to send the update emails you requested.
Each of these has its own privacy practices governing the data they handle.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries to keep you signed in, remember which campaign you have selected, and support the sharing leaderboard. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any update email.
- Request a copy or deletion of your information, or ask us to correct it.
- If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove your data via our data deletion instructions.
